What is it coming to? It seems children aged five and younger are regularly being suspended from schools in Northern Ireland. According to statistics from the Department of Education there were no less than 131 suspensions between 2002 and 2007 in this age group with one primary one pupil expelled for behaviour issues. Most suspensions were for physically attacking teachers and classroom assistants.

One teaching union has claimed the figures are just the "tip of the iceberg" and that many incidents go unreported. It seems the more legislation is put in place to reduce agression in our society the worse things have got.
